Please join us for MEPTO’s annual Pumpkin Fair! We will have pumpkins to paint, bouncy houses and activities for the kids, local vendors to shop, and food trucks!! We have extended hours this year, so our Medway Youth Soccer players will have a chance to attend after the Soccer Day games!

Reminder! There are no preschool classes tomorrow as it is an Arena Day. School for preschool will resume on Monday, September 11th. Kindergarten and First grade classes are in session tomorrow.

Join the Medway Project 351 ambassadors and alumni at the Medway Public Library on Saturday, September 9, in honor of the tragic events of 9/11. Join us in the Library's Cole Room for a read-aloud & meet and greet with first responders from 10:30 am-12:30 pm. Outside, the kids will have a "Touch a Truck"! This is a family-friendly event. We hope to see you there!!!

What is the #buildingbrightbrains campaign about? It is a series of initiatives to share messages with parents and adolescents that brains continue to develop until age 25, and choices made during youth can change the brain's structure for better or worse. Like this post or follow SUP Medway as we continue to empower both teens and their parents with tips on what "boosts" the brain and facts on what to avoid to not "bust" brain development. It was a beautiful day to welcome our preschool and kindergarten students to their first day at McGovern Elementary. We saw lots of smiling faces and sheer enthusiasm! A huge thank you to Medway Police for offering a helping hand.

Children need healthy meals to learn. Accordingly, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is providing complimentary breakfast and lunch for all students. In addition, the Medway Public Schools offer reduced fees (PK tuition, athletic fees, trip fees) for qualifying families. Importantly, only those students who are registered and identified as eligible for transportation will be provided bus transportation. ACTION REQUIRED: Annual Student Information Update To prioritize safety and efficiency, we require all parents and students to complete a yearly review and sign off on the information, policies, and procedures. To streamline this process and make it convenient for everyone, we have integrated this review into our user-friendly Parent Portal system, which we refer to as "Online Registration" or "The Yearly Information Update" in our communications. All families must complete this review, update any information that may have changed since last year, and sign off on required policies and procedures by September 7, 2023. Families with 5th and 9th-grade students should know that this process must be completed before a school-issued Chromebook will be deployed to their child. As a reminder, the first day of school for Grades 1-12 students is August 30, 2023. Preschool and Kindergarten students' first day of school is August 31, 2023. Join MEPTO tonight (Tuesday, August 22) as we welcome incoming kindergarteners and their families to McGovern. This is a great opportunity for students to meet their new classmates and explore their new playground before the first day.

We will be giving away backpacks on Tuesday, 8/22 & Wednesday, 8/23 at 1:00 pm at the Medway Public Library, 26 High St as part of the FREE summer lunch & fun program! Bags will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis in the Makerspace, and will be available while supplies last. Supplies are courtesy of Medway Public Schools and the Hockmock Area YMCA.
